Blue Mountains Recreation and Respite Service Inc is a small grassroots not-for-profit organisation based in the Blue Mountains, NSW. We support people with disabilities to participate in the community, meet new friends, have fun, learn, explore, connect and follow their dreams.

Our Vision

People with disabilities are enabled to participate broadly in their communities according to their individual goals and aspirations.

Our Purpose

To realise this Vision BMRRS aims to provide a variety of enjoyable and educational recreational opportunities for people with disabilities which enrich their lives, build social connections and give families a break from their caring role.

What We Do

We offer a program of organised activities that provide a variety of opportunities to have fun, relax, meet people, socialise, learn, be challenged, inspired and entertained. At the same time carers can have a break from their support role.

You chose activities that you are interested in. We aim to support you to access the activities that interest you.

We organise activities such as meals out, bbqs, day trips (the zoo, Manly, ferry trips, trips to the city, the beach), concerts/theatre, picnics, local attractions, drumming , bowling, art/craft activities and games.

Our friendly, skilled staff and volunteers support people to participate in their chosen activities.

  • Access and equity in the provision of supports
