Blue Mountains Recreation & Respite Service Inc. is a Home and Community Care (HACC) funded service that provides social support activities to adults 18-65 years of age with a disability living in the Blue Mountains LGA. Transport is provided to and from activities.

Our Vision

To be accountable to the community for the provision of a quality service and to improve the quality of life of local residents with a disability in the Blue Mountains area, with an emphasis on those people who have special needs and or who are disadvantaged in the community.

Our Objectives

  • to provide specific social and recreational activities to each individual client according to their needs
  • to ensure that family or other primary caregivers are supported and receive respite from their caring role
  • that the service operates in an effective, efficient and accountable manner

Who is Eligible?

BMRRS provides social and recreational based outings for each eligible individual client in groups or one-on-one links, providing short-term care to people who may be “socially isolated”, “transport disadvantaged” and/or “financially disadvantaged”.

Assessment and Privacy Statement

To become a client of BMRRS each person is assessed as to their individual needs and contributions towards the service are negotiated individually.
